Import VAT on the unit and the installer's VAT on the installation are added, both deductible for a VAT-registered business. The model

Escale 36 travels folded, 2.2 m wide. Expanded on site, it offers 37.2 m² overall and two bedrooms, enough for a family on a rental stay. This type of unit is also called a folding container house.

It arrives finished from the factory. Only the outer walls fold out: there are no panels to assemble. The partner installer sets it on adjustable jacks or pads, as non-anchored supports, expands it following the manufacturer's instructions, then connects it to water, waste water and electricity. Seals, sealants and small fittings travel inside the unit: the installer fits them when the unit is expanded, and this is included in the turnkey price.

Shipping

Folded, two units fit in one 40 ft High Cube container: the freight is shared.

Rules on the campsite

A unit placed on a campsite is a building under the Planning and Building Act (plan- och bygglagen). A building permit (bygglov) is required for every unit, even one standing on plinths or pallets without a foundation, and the campsite applies for it. Contact the building committee (byggnadsnämnden) of your municipality before you order. The unit may not be used, and therefore not let, until the committee has issued the final notice (slutbesked). The clear internal height, 2.26 m, is shown in the building permit application and assessed by the building committee. With about 35 m² inside (Atemp), the unit is under 50 m², and the energy efficiency requirements of Boverket, the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning, do not apply (BFS 2026:9, chapter 1, section 3).
