Privacy policy

This policy explains how REXOR GROUP LLC, which operates the Lodgeyard brand, handles personal information in connection with its business in Australia: what we collect and why, how we use the chat window, who we share information with, where it is held, how long we keep it, how we protect it, and how you can access it, correct it, ask us to delete it or make a complaint.

Version 1.1. Effective date: 28 October 2026.

1. In short

1.1 In short: we use the details in your request to look at your project and reply to you. We don't sell them, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.

1.2 The rest of this policy gives the detail. Where this summary and the detail differ, the detail applies, except that we never sell or rent your personal information.

2. About this policy

2.1 This policy applies to personal information that we collect and hold in connection with our business in Australia, including through the Australian pages of lodgeyard.com, our quote form, our chat window, our email exchanges and the performance of our contracts with customers.

2.2 We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles in Schedule 1 to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy is our privacy policy for the purposes of Australian Privacy Principle 1. It also serves as the notice of the matters in Australian Privacy Principle 5 for information collected through our Website, and we may give you a shorter notice when we collect information in another way.

2.3 Our Terms of sale, our Website terms of use and our Cookie policy refer to this policy. If they are inconsistent with this policy on a matter of privacy, this policy applies.

2.4 This policy does not apply to the websites of third parties, or to the personal information handled by your builder, certifier or council under their own arrangements with you.

3. Definitions

3.1 In this policy:

4. Who handles your information

4.1 Your personal information is handled by REXOR GROUP LLC, a limited liability company registered in New Mexico, USA, which operates the Lodgeyard brand.

4.2 Lodgeyard is a brand of REXOR GROUP LLC and is not a separate legal entity. Requests and complaints about privacy can be sent to the email address above.

5. The personal information we collect

5.1 The kinds of personal information we collect and hold depend on how you deal with us.

When you ask for a quote

5.2 The details you enter in the quote form: name, email, phone if given, suburb and state, and project details, such as the model you are interested in, who the granny flat is for, the size of your block, access for the truck and crane, your budget and the date you need it.

5.3 To limit abuse of the form, our host counts submissions per IP address for one minute; the address is not kept.

When you write to us

5.4 Our email exchanges, including the contents of your messages, any attachments you send, such as photographs or plans of your block, and our replies.

When you write in the chat window

5.5 Your messages and the automated replies, the contact details you choose to leave (email or phone), and your IP address, which our host uses to route the conversation. Clause 9 gives the detail.

When you order

5.6 Your delivery address and the details needed to import the unit in your name. These may include the identity information that the Australian Border Force requires to register you as an importer, which you may give to us or directly to the customs broker.

5.7 Information about your site and your project needed to deliver the unit and to prepare the documents for your builder, certifier or council, such as the address and features of your block, access conditions and the approval pathway.

5.8 Information about your payments to us: the amounts, dates and references of your bank transfers and the name and account details that appear on them. We do not collect payment card details.

5.9 Information about the warranty and after-sales care of your unit, including claims, photographs and our correspondence about them.

If you are a business contact

5.10 If you work for a business that deals with us or that we contact, such as a builder, certifier, designer or other professional, we collect your name, role, business and business contact details, and our correspondence with you. We may collect these details from your business's public website or directory listings.

When you visit our Website

5.11 Our hosting provider processes technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type and the pages requested, as needed to deliver the pages and protect the Website. We measure traffic without cookies or identifiers: page views are counted in aggregate, without following a person from one visit to the next. Clause 20 and our Cookie policy give the detail.

Sensitive information

5.12 We do not ask for sensitive information, such as information about health, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs or criminal record. You may choose to tell us, for example, that the granny flat is for a relative with particular needs. If you do, we use that information only with your consent and only to answer your request, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Government related identifiers

5.13 We do not adopt a government related identifier of an individual, such as a driver licence or passport number, as our own identifier of that individual. We use or disclose such an identifier only where the APPs permit it, for example where it is needed for the customs broker to clear your unit through customs in your name.

Information we did not ask for

5.14 If we receive personal information that we did not ask for, we decide within a reasonable period whether we could have collected it under the APPs. If we could not, we destroy it or de-identify it as soon as practicable, where it is lawful and reasonable to do so.

6. How we collect it

6.1 We collect most personal information directly from you, when you fill in the quote form, write to us, use the chat window, sign a quote or deal with us about your unit. In the quote form, your phone number is optional; the other details are needed for us to reply to you about your project.

6.2 We may also collect personal information about you from:

6.3 To assess your project, we may consult public planning information about your block, such as its zoning, lot size and hazard mapping, on the basis of the address or suburb you give us.

6.4 We collect technical information automatically when you use the Website, as described in clause 5.11.

6.5 If you give us personal information about another person, for example a relative who will live in the granny flat, please make sure that person knows you have done so and how to find this policy.

7. Dealing with us without identifying yourself

7.1 You can browse the Website and ask general questions in the chat window without giving your name or contact details.

7.2 To receive a quote, to order a unit, to import it in your name and to deliver it, we need to know who you are and how to contact you. If you do not give us that information, we cannot prepare a quote for you or supply a unit.

8. Why we use it

8.1 We use this information to:

8.2 In connection with those purposes, we also use it to:

8.3 To get prices, we share the technical details of your project with factories, without your contact details.

8.4 We use and disclose personal information only for the purpose for which we collected it, or for a related purpose that you would reasonably expect, or otherwise as permitted by the APPs, including with your consent or where required or authorised by law.

8.5 The table below summarises the main purposes for which we use personal information, the information used for each, and the context in which we use it.

9. The chat window

9.1 The chat window on our pages connects you with an automated sales agent: an artificial intelligence system, not a person. It may be presented under a first name, and the window tells you that it is an artificial intelligence system. If you ask whether you are talking to a person, it tells you the truth.

9.2 We handle:

9.3 The replies of the chat window are drafted and checked with the help of our artificial intelligence service providers, described in clause 11.2(c). Your messages are sent to them for that purpose only.

9.4 If you ask to speak with a person or leave your contact details, the Lodgeyard team receives them with a transcript of the conversation, through the team's internal messaging, so it can reply to you.

9.5 Chat window conversations are deleted automatically 12 months after their last message.

9.6 Please do not enter bank account details, payment card details, passwords or sensitive information in the chat window. The automated sales agent never asks you for bank or payment card details.

9.7 You can ask us to delete a chat window conversation before the end of that period. To help us find it, tell us the approximate date and time of the conversation and any contact details you left in it.

9.8 The chat window sets no cookies and keeps no messages in your browser. Nothing is written in your browser before you open the chat window; after that, it keeps its settings and interface texts in your browser's session storage, deleted when you close the tab. Once you have sent a first message, it also keeps the identifier of your conversation in your browser's local storage, on lodgeyard.com and on rexorcloser.com, for 12 months after your last message, as long as the conversation itself is kept, so the conversation can pick up where it left off when you come back. This identifier is used for nothing else: no advertising, no tracking from one website to another. You can also erase it from the chat window, with the "New conversation" link. Our Cookie policy gives the detail.

10. Computer programs and automated decisions

10.1 We use computer programs, including the automated sales agent in the chat window and tools that help us draft and sort our correspondence, to prepare information and replies about your project.

10.2 These programs use the personal information you give us in the chat window, the quote form and your emails: your messages, your contact details and the details of your project and your block.

10.3 They may do things related to decisions about your enquiry, such as identifying which model suits the size of your block, whether your block appears to be within the area where truck and crane delivery is included in our price, and what information a reply to your request should contain. They are not used to assess your creditworthiness.

10.4 Your quote, and any decision to supply a unit to you, is set out in a written quote that you can review before you sign it, and you can ask us any question about how it was prepared. If you have a question about a decision that affects you, write to us at the address in clause 4.1.

10.5 From 10 December 2026, the Privacy Act requires privacy policies to describe the use of computer programs to make, or to do things substantially and directly related to making, decisions that could reasonably be expected to significantly affect the rights or interests of individuals. This clause 10 gives that information as it applies to us, and we will update it if our use of such programs changes.

11. Who we share it with

11.1 We don't sell or rent your information.

Our service providers

11.2 Our technical providers, acting on our instructions, fall into the following categories:

11.3 The list of our service providers, with their names, is available on request. Write to us at contact@lodgeyard.com.

If you order

11.4 If you order, we also share what is needed with our freight forwarder and customs broker, to import the unit in your name, with the companies that deliver it, and with the builder named in your quote, so it can prepare the approval file and the site works.

11.5 At your request, we also send the drawings and documents for your unit, which may show your name and the address of your block, to your certifier or council.

Factories

11.6 To get prices, we share the technical details of your project with factories, without your contact details. If you order, your name and delivery address appear on the shipping documents for your unit, as described in clause 12.4.

Other disclosures

11.7 We may also disclose personal information:

12. Where it is held and overseas disclosure

12.1 Your information is held outside Australia:

12.2 Our hosting and content delivery provider's network processes requests to the Website in data centres in many countries, generally the one closest to you. Our internal messaging service stores data in data centres in several countries.

12.3 Our manager works from the Philippines and accesses your information from there. Our providers hold your information on our behalf.

12.4 If you order, your name and delivery address appear on the shipping documents for your unit, which are prepared in China and handled by freight companies overseas. The technical details of your project are shared with factories in China, without your contact details.

12.5 Before we disclose personal information to a recipient outside Australia, we take reasonable steps, including through the terms on which our service providers handle information for us, to ensure that the recipient does not breach the APPs in relation to that information. We remain accountable for the way our service providers handle it, as provided by the Privacy Act.

12.6 This means that, if an overseas recipient to which we disclose your information handles it in a way that would breach the APPs, we may be accountable for that under the Privacy Act. You can ask us for more information about the overseas recipients of your information and the steps we take.

12.7 Information held outside Australia is subject to the laws of the country where it is held, and may be accessed by the courts, law enforcement and other authorities of that country in accordance with its laws.

13. How we protect it

13.1 We take reasonable steps to protect your information against misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

13.2 Those steps include encrypted connections to the Website and the chat window, access to personal information limited to the people and service providers who need it, protection of our accounts against unauthorised access, limits on the number of requests that can be made through the quote form and the chat window, and the use of service providers that offer appropriate security.

13.3 We also take reasonable steps to keep the personal information we hold accurate, up to date and complete. Please tell us if your details change.

13.4 Our service providers act on our instructions and may use personal information only to provide their services to us.

13.5 No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If you think your information held by us has been compromised, contact us immediately.

13.6 Our bank details appear only on our pro forma invoice. We will never ask you to pay to bank details sent by any other means. If you receive a message that appears to come from us and gives different bank details, do not pay and contact us.

14. How long we keep it

14.1 We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in clause 8 or as the law requires. Then we destroy it or de-identify it.

InformationHow long we keep it
Chat window conversationsDeleted automatically 12 months after their last message
Quote requests and correspondence, if you don't become a customerThree years from your last contact
Business contacts who are not customersThree years from your last contact
CustomersFor the length of the relationship, which includes the warranty periods for your unit, and then as long as the law requires for accounting records
IP address counted to limit abuse of the quote formOne minute; the address is not kept
Encrypted fingerprint of the IP address used in the chat windowOnly as long as needed to limit abuse
Traffic measurementCounted in aggregate, without personal information

14.2 We may keep information for longer if we need it to deal with a complaint, a claim or a legal proceeding, until it is resolved.

15. Marketing messages

15.1 We send commercial electronic messages, such as marketing emails, only in accordance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth): with your consent, which may be express or, where that Act allows, inferred, for example from our existing business relationship with you or, for a business contact, from the conspicuous publication of your business email address where our message is relevant to your role.

15.2 Every commercial electronic message we send identifies us, includes our contact details and includes a functional unsubscribe facility. If you unsubscribe, we give effect to your request within five working days, and we do not send you further commercial electronic messages.

15.3 You may also ask us at any time not to use your personal information for direct marketing, and we give effect to your request free of charge within a reasonable period. We do not use sensitive information for direct marketing.

15.4 If you are a business contact and we found your business email address on your business's website or in a public directory, we write to you only about matters relevant to your role, and we stop at your first request.

15.5 Messages about your quote, your order, your delivery or your warranty claim are not marketing messages and continue after you unsubscribe from marketing.

16. Access and correction

16.1 You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, and to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.

16.2 To do so, write to contact@lodgeyard.com. We reply within 30 days. There is no charge for making a request.

16.3 We may ask you to confirm your identity before we give you access or make a correction, so that we do not disclose your information to someone else.

16.4 We may refuse access only where the APPs allow it, for example where giving access would have an unreasonable impact on the privacy of others, or where the information relates to existing or anticipated legal proceedings between us and would not be accessible by discovery. If we refuse, we tell you in writing why, and how you can complain.

16.5 We give access in the manner you ask for, such as a copy sent by email, where it is reasonable and practicable to do so. Otherwise, we take reasonable steps to give access in a way that meets your needs and ours.

16.6 If we refuse to correct your information, we tell you in writing why, and you can ask us to attach to it a statement that you consider it inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.

17. Deletion

17.1 You can ask us to delete your personal information at any time, by writing to contact@lodgeyard.com. We reply within 30 days.

17.2 We delete it, except information that the law requires us to keep, such as accounting records, or that we need to perform a contract with you that is still in progress, including the warranty for your unit. In that case, we tell you what we keep and why, and we keep it only for that purpose.

18. Data breaches

18.1 If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as soon as we can.

18.2 Under the Privacy Act, a data breach must be notified when personal information is accessed or disclosed without authorisation, or lost in circumstances where that is likely, and a reasonable person would conclude that this is likely to result in serious harm to the individuals concerned, unless remedial action prevents that harm.

18.3 We also take steps to contain the breach, assess it and reduce the risk of harm to you, and we tell you what you can do to protect yourself.

19. Complaints

19.1 If you have a complaint about how we have handled your personal information, write to us at contact@lodgeyard.com, describing your concern. We acknowledge your complaint, look into it and reply in writing within 30 days.

19.2 We may ask you for further information to look into your complaint. Our reply explains what we found, what we will do and, if you remain dissatisfied, how to contact the regulator.

19.3 If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au, telephone 1300 363 992). The OAIC generally expects you to complain to us first and to allow us 30 days to respond.

20. Cookies and similar technologies

20.1 This website uses no analytics or advertising cookies.

20.2 We measure traffic with our hosting provider's analytics service, without cookies or identifiers: page views are counted in aggregate, without following a person from one visit to the next.

20.3 The chat window sets no cookies and keeps no messages in your browser. Nothing is written in your browser before you open the chat window by clicking on it. After that, it uses session storage, deleted when you close the tab: on lodgeyard.com, it keeps its display settings and whether it is open during your visit; on rexorcloser.com, the domain of our chat service provider, which displays it, it keeps its display texts and settings. Once you have sent a first message, it also keeps the identifier of your conversation in local storage, on lodgeyard.com and on rexorcloser.com, for 12 months after your last message, as long as the conversation itself is kept, so the conversation can pick up where it left off when you come back. This storage is used only to provide the chat you have asked for, never for advertising or to track you from one website to another, and does not require consent.

20.4 Our host may set a technical cookie that is strictly necessary for the site's security.

20.5 When you open a page of our Website without having chosen a country, we may send you to the version of that page for the country of your connection. That country is not recorded or kept. If you choose a country or language yourself in the menu, a functional cookie called "pays" remembers that choice for 12 months, only so that you are not redirected again.

20.6 Our Cookie policy gives the detail, including how to remove these items from your browser.

21. Children

21.1 Our Website and our offer are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 without the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe that a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

22.1 Our Website contains links to other websites, such as those of government authorities. We are not responsible for how those websites handle personal information. Please read their privacy policies.

23. Changes to this policy

23.1 We may update this policy, for example when our service providers or our practices change, or when the law changes. Each version is published on the Website with its version number and effective date.

23.2 The version that applies is the version published on the Website at the time. We encourage you to read this policy from time to time.
