Cookie Policy
This policy describes the cookies and other trackers used on the France version of lodgeyard.com, published by REXOR GROUP LLC under its Lodgeyard brand: what they are, why they are used, for how long, and how you can control them. Version 1.1 of 28 October 2026.
In short. The Website deposits no advertising cookie and no audience measurement cookie. It uses only trackers that are strictly necessary for its security, for the conversation window that you open or for remembering the country or language that you have chosen. These trackers do not require your consent, which is why the Website displays no consent banner.
Article 1. Purpose and scope
1.1 This policy applies to the France version of the website lodgeyard.com, in French and in English (the "Website"), and to the conversation window displayed on its pages.
1.2 It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes all the processing of personal data carried out by REXOR GROUP LLC.
Article 2. Definitions
- "Tracker": any operation of storing information in your terminal equipment (computer, tablet, telephone) or of gaining access to information already stored in it, whatever the technology used.
- "Cookie": a small text file deposited by a website in your browser, which the website can read again during your later visits.
- "Local storage": a storage space of your browser, linked to a website, whose content is kept until it is deleted.
- "Session storage": a storage space of your browser, linked to a website, whose content is deleted when the tab or window is closed.
- "First-party tracker": a tracker deposited by the domain of the website that you are visiting; "third-party tracker": a tracker deposited by another domain.
Article 3. Legal framework
3.1 Article 82 of French Law no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, which transposes article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC of 12 July 2002 (ePrivacy Directive), requires the consent of the user before any tracker is deposited or read, after clear and complete information.
3.2 Two categories of trackers are exempt from consent: those whose exclusive purpose is to enable or facilitate communication by electronic means, and those that are strictly necessary for the provision of an online communication service at the express request of the user.
3.3 The Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL) has specified the application of these rules in its guidelines and its recommendation of 17 September 2020 on cookies and other trackers (deliberations no. 2020-091 and no. 2020-092). According to these texts, trackers intended for the security of a service, those that keep the choice of the user concerning the personalisation of the interface, such as the choice of language, and, under certain conditions, audience measurement trackers, may be exempt from consent.
Article 4. Our principles
4.1 The Website deposits no advertising tracker, no social network tracker and no tracker allowing you to be followed from one website to another.
4.2 The Website uses only trackers that fall within the exemptions described in Article 3. It therefore does not display a consent banner.
4.3 Should we one day use trackers that require consent, we would ask for your consent beforehand, by means of an interface allowing you to refuse as easily as to accept, and we would update this policy.
Article 5. Trackers used on the Website
5.1 The trackers used on the Website are the following:
| Tracker | Domain and type | Purpose | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| "pays" cookie | lodgeyard.com, first-party cookie | Remembers the country or language that you have yourself chosen in the selector, so that you are no longer redirected | 12 months | Not required: keeping a choice of interface expressly made by you |
| Security cookie of the hosting provider | lodgeyard.com, cookie deposited by our hosting provider where its protection mechanisms require it | Distinguishing legitimate traffic from malicious or automated traffic and protecting the Website against attacks | Limited to what is necessary for that purpose | Not required: strictly necessary for security |
| Display settings of the conversation window ("rexor-reglages-", followed by an identifier) | lodgeyard.com, session storage of your browser | Keeping, during your visit, the display settings of the conversation window | Deleted when the tab is closed | Not required: strictly necessary for the conversation window that you open |
| State of the conversation window ("rexor-ouvert-", followed by the same identifier) | lodgeyard.com, session storage of your browser | Keeping, during your visit, whether the conversation window is open or closed | Deleted when the tab is closed | Not required: strictly necessary for the conversation window that you open |
| Texts and display settings of the window ("rexor-fenetre-", followed by the same identifier) | rexorcloser.com, which displays the conversation window, session storage | Keeping the texts and display settings of the conversation window | Deleted when the tab is closed | Not required: strictly necessary for the conversation window that you open |
| Conversation identifier ("rexor-conv-", followed by the same identifier) | lodgeyard.com and rexorcloser.com, which displays the conversation window, local storage of your browser | Keeping, from your first message, the identifier of your conversation, so that the conversation can pick up where it left off when you come back | 12 months after your last message | Not required: strictly necessary for the conversation that you have requested |
5.2 The "pays" cookie is deposited only when you choose a country or a language in the selector of the Website. It contains only the code of the version chosen. It is transmitted only over a secure connection and is not accessible to the scripts of the pages.
5.3 The conversation window deposits no cookie and keeps no messages in your browser. Nothing is written in your browser before you open the conversation window by clicking on it; it then keeps its display texts and settings and its open or closed state in session storage, deleted when the tab is closed. Once you have sent a first message, it also keeps the identifier of your conversation in local storage, on lodgeyard.com and on rexorcloser.com, for 12 months after your last message, as long as the conversation itself is kept, so that the conversation can pick up where it left off when you come back. This identifier is used for nothing else: no advertising, no tracking from one website to another. You can also erase it from the conversation window, with the "New conversation" link. The information that the conversation window keeps in your browser serves only to provide the conversation that you have requested. The conversation identifier, which is written only from your first message and serves only to provide the conversation that you have started, therefore falls within the exemption for trackers strictly necessary for a service provided at your express request (Article 3.2).
5.4 The security cookie of our hosting provider is not used to identify you or to follow your browsing. Whether it is deposited depends on the protection mechanisms of the hosting provider, which may vary according to the traffic observed.
Article 6. Audience measurement without cookies
6.1 We measure the audience of the Website with the measurement service of our hosting provider, without cookies or identifiers: page views are counted in aggregate, without following a person from one visit to the next.
6.2 This service deposits no tracker in your terminal for that purpose. It provides us only with aggregated statistics (number of pages viewed, referring pages, types of browsers and devices, countries of connection, loading times). It does not allow you to be followed across websites, and its results are used only by us.
6.3 To the extent that this measurement involves reading technical information from your browser, we consider that it falls within the exemption from consent applicable to audience measurement, as specified by the CNIL: it is strictly limited to measuring the audience of the Website, produces only anonymous statistics, does not allow tracking across websites and is not combined with other processing.
6.4 You may prevent this measurement by blocking, in your browser or with a content-blocking extension, the measurement scripts of third-party domains. The Website continues to work normally.
Article 7. Direction to the version of your country
7.1 On your arrival on the home page, we direct you to the version of the Website for your country, on the basis of the country of your connection and of the language settings of your browser.
7.2 This direction uses no tracker: the country of connection is determined by our hosting provider from the request received and is neither recorded nor kept.
7.3 If you choose a country or a language yourself, the "pays" cookie remembers that choice (Article 5), and you are no longer redirected.
Article 8. How to control trackers
8.1 You can at any time delete the cookies and the content of the local storage and of the session storage of your browser, and configure your browser to refuse cookies, generally or for a given website. The procedure depends on your browser and is described in its help pages. Closing the tab also deletes the session storage, but not the local storage.
8.2 If you delete or refuse the "pays" cookie, the Website no longer remembers your choice of country or language, and you may be directed again to the version of your country of connection.
8.3 If you clear the data of the Website and of rexorcloser.com in your browser, the identifier of your conversation is erased and the conversation no longer resumes automatically when you come back; the conversation itself is kept as described in our Privacy Policy, and you can ask us to delete it. If you block the local storage or the session storage, or the domain that displays the conversation window, the conversation window may not work. The rest of the Website remains accessible, and you can always contact us through the quote request form or at contact@lodgeyard.com.
8.4 If you block the security cookie of our hosting provider, access to some pages may be slowed down or require an additional check.
Article 9. Third-party content
9.1 The Website does not embed content from social networks, advertising networks or video platforms likely to deposit trackers. Its images and videos are served from its own domain.
9.2 Links to third-party websites, where they exist, lead to websites whose trackers are governed by their own policies.
Article 10. Changes to this policy
10.1 We update this policy whenever the trackers used on the Website change. The version in force is the one published on the Website, with its version number and date.
10.2 This policy is published in French at /juridique/politique-cookies and in English. In the event of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
Article 11. Contact
For any question about this policy or about trackers: contact@lodgeyard.com, or REXOR GROUP LLC, 8206 Louisiana Blvd NE, Ste A #9493, Albuquerque, NM 87113, United States of America. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
